Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Chief Appraiser has granted the 30 day extension, as provided by Section 23.23(b) of the Texas Property Tax Code for businesses to file their personal property rendition forms.
Renditions must be submitted by: MAY 15, 2020.
In response to the Orange County Disaster Declaration and the CDC recommendations issued March 17, 2020, the Orange County Appraisal District is limiting public access. In order to protect both the public as well as our employees we are asking that you use one of the following options to conduct business with our office currently:

Our doors will remain locked until further notice, although our staff will be available through the above methods during normal business hours Monday – Friday from 8 am – 5 pm.
If you need to drop documents off at our office, please use the drop box by the front door.

Within this site you will find general information about the District and the ad-valorem property tax system in Texas. The mission of the Orange County Appraisal District is to discover, list and appraise all property located within the boundaries of the district in an accurate, ethical and impartial manner in an effort to estimate the market value of each property and achieve uniformity and equity between classes of properties. This will be accomplished by maintaining the highest standards in appraisal practices and law, guided by the goals of providing quality service to the taxpayers and taxing entities and by developing personnel who are professional and knowledgeable.
To provide accurate appraisals of all property in Orange County at 100 percent market value, ensuring that each taxpayer pays only their fair share of the overall property tax burden.
