IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING NOTICES OF APPRAISED VALUE
Due to the COVID-19 social distancing orders the appeal process will be a little different this year. For Informal Appeals with appraisers, the district is asking that you use one of the following methods as no in person meetings will be held at this time.

- Dropped in the Drop Box located to the right of the front door.
To use the Online Protest Portal, you will use the Online Passcode number and your Quick Reference ID given to you at the top of the Notice of Appraised Value. If an agreement is not reached informally through one of the above methods, a hearing will be scheduled before the Appraisal Review Board. Those hearings will take place in June and July.
Also as of January 1, 2020 if you still had damage that remained unrepaired from Tropical Storm Imelda please contact our office through one of the methods above so that our appraisal staff can work with you on making the necessary adjustments.

The mission of the Orange County Appraisal District is to discover, list and appraise all property located within the boundaries of the district in an accurate, ethical and impartial manner in an effort to estimate the market value of each property and achieve uniformity and equity between classes of properties. This will be accomplished by maintaining the highest standards in appraisal practices and law, guided by the goals of providing quality service to the taxpayers and taxing entities and by developing personnel who are professional and knowledgeable.
To provide accurate appraisals of all property in Orange County at 100 percent market value, ensuring that each taxpayer pays only their fair share of the overall property tax burden.
